This thread is an attempt to capture how many people are experiencing problems with the spotify iphone app.

If you are experiencing regular crashing problems with the iphone spotify app, please write which iphone model you have, which IOS and which version of spotify you are running and finally if your iphone is jailbroken. Also include approximatly  how often the crashes occur per playing time

Please only post once to this thread so its easy to count the number of people having this problem.

In some respects, this is like a petition. 

My details:

IPHONE MODEL: 3GS

IOS 5.1

SPOTIFY VERSION: 0.5.2.374

APPROX CRASH FREQUENCY: Every 40 mins of playing time

JAILBROKEN: YES

iPhone 5 - kept crashing when I scrolled down playlists so I reordered them in desktop version, now crashes every time I try to just look at the playlist tab.

Description

Iphone app crashes every time I start it

A more detailed description, using numbered steps

1. Downloaded latest version of Spotify app for Iphone on wednesday the 7th of November
2. Prompted to log in using Spotify or Facebook details.

3. App hangs then crashes.

3. Closed app in taskbar. Same problems when launching.

4. Switched off phone. Same problem when launching.

What I expected to happen

Expected the app's main screen to load, filling the available space on the iPhone 5 screen.

What actually happened

App crashes after attempts to log in, before showing the main screen.

The latest Spotify version 0.5.8 has created a crashing problem.

Iphone 5 64GB, Ios 6.0.1, latest Spotify: as soon as the app has loaded(approx 2-3sek) it crashes. Same as with Ipad 3 32gb(latest ios)...both are on wlan.

I am running Spotify for iOS 4 on an Ipod Touch 2g. I've been using it for months with only very infrequent crashes. Starting this week, I am having frequent crashes: sometimes within five minutes, sometimes after a few songs. It also has starting taking the whole Ipod down with it - total system crash each time.

Have you tried a clean reinstallation of the app? 

Be warned, that you will need to redownload all your offline synced content when doing this!

My iPhone keeps crashing on my iphone when I play a song. Its whenever i start spotify and starts playing music. It justs pauses and plays, pauses, plays, and so on.. for ever. in all eternity. What do i do? HELP

Can you try restarting your iPhone by holding the Home button and the Lock button together for about 10 seconds? That often helps with this kind of problem.

Was working perfectly untill I just updated to the lastest version and now it won't even open crashes imediately

Cheers. This have fixed the problem for now along with fixing a few more apps crashing on start up. But still need to sort out the problem properly. Thanks alot
