Restore local files

When I first got my spotify user a couple of weeks ago, I didn't understand much, and I managed to delete all the "local files".. Now I realize that it would be very nice to have them on spotify so I won't have to switch between itunes and spotify all the time, but I can't seem to get them in there... I've tried deleting and downloading the spotify app, and deleting and syncing my itunes library, but it doesn't seem to work. Neither can I find any settings on my iphone to fix it. Does anyone have any tips?
