The search bar has disappeared in some of my playlists (and it’s still in other playlists).
I have smart shuffle off.
I was with Spotify support (on Twitter) yesterday and they can’t figure it out.
Tried logging out and in, clearing cache, doing a clean reinstall , using it on LTE on’y
Nothing works 😞

My Question or Issue
Hey there @rd-qvi_04ygra,
Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!
Just to confirm, does this only happen on your phone or on other devices as well? We'd also like to know if this happen with the playlists you created, the ones by Spotify or with all of them.
On another note, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi
I have that issue on both îPhone and Ipad apps.
Latest versions of Spotify and of iOS/iPadOS.
However I don’t have that issue on the MacOS and Windows apps.
As for which playlist are affected: my user created playlists are fine; regarding the ones created by Spotify, some have the search bar and others do not, as you can see in the google drive link

Adding to my previous post :
I just noticed that the playlists that don’t have the search bar have a huge photo that take up the space, whereas the playlists with the regular art cover have the search bar, so iit’s most likely a UI issue
(I’m talking about official Spotify playlists)

My Question or Issue
Some Spotify created playlists don't have a sort option at the top of the screen on the mobile app while others do. I can't figure out why I can sort some and not others. I don't have any shuffling on. All playlists can be sorted on desktop but half can't be sorted on mobile. And if I sort on mobile or desktop, it doesn't apply to both devices.
For example, the Spotify playlist Hot Country can't be sorted at all on my phone but can be sorted on desktop. There is no sort at the top of the screen. But 70s Soul Classics has a sort option at the top of the page. I attached screen prints of both playlists.
Is there a reason Spotify curated playlists can't always be sorted? I end up making a copy of the playlist and sorting the way I want it but that's extra steps. Plus then I have a playlist that doesn't update regularly.
Thanks for the screenshots @Girliedrummer!
We now understand what you mean and we can confirm that this is the expected behavior in such playlists. I can see how it could be inconvenient at times and I've forwarded your feedback to the teams backstage.
Your workaround to make a new playlist and use that instead sounds like a great way to use the sort and filter functions.
