Shared Spotify Links in iMessage Start Playing Automatically Without User Interaction

Bumping this because the "feature" decides for me to auto play a song someone shares in iMessage when I never clicked on the link they send. It's really annoying because I'm already using Spotify and it decides to auto open Spotify Messages and autoplay the linked song by itself. Why is this not a toggleable feature

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community. 

We've moved your comment to a new thread since your issue differs from the original report. While Spotify links are expected to autoplay when they're opened, they shouldn't normally start playing if you haven't interacted with the link yourself. 

Could you let us know your iPhone model, iOS version, Spotify version, and whether this only happens in iMessage or in other messaging apps as well? Also, does it occur when Spotify is already playing music in the background?
