The ipod has a sleep timer built in, but it is currently not working properly with spotify.
To use the sleep timer, open the clock app, go to the timer tab, and set a time, and then on the "when timer ends" list, choose "Stop Playing"
If spotify, was working properly, it should stop the music, once the time finishes, currently, it attempts to (the song will fade out momentarily), but then continue playing... its a bug with spottify. (it works with other 3rd party apps just fine, eg pandora radio.)
It works now.

This is a bug they should solve. I love using the sleep timer but with this, It's just an annoyance.
