My Question or Issue
every time I try to browse my library or search for music it says something went wrong. I’ve reset my phone reinstalled Spotify tried logging out, nothing is working!
I did every step you wrote and still the same.. - red e-mail and: something went wrong. Try again later.
Hey @Gosia4,
Can you try resting your password through this password reset form and logging in again.
Also make sure that any VPN is turned off.
Keep us posted.
So apparently VPN is the problem. I was able to disconnect it for a moment and log in. But then there is another problem as VPN turns on automatically and spotify doesn't work - internet is blocked in some way and the music can't be searched or listened.
VPN is a must on this phone as it is required by Qustodio (parental control app) and I don't want to unistall Qustodio...
What now can I do?
Hi @Gosia4,
Thanks for getting back to us with this info.
We understand where you're coming from. However, keep in mind that Spotify doesn't officially support VPNs.
We can't guarantee proper functionality of the app if one is being used.
Don't hesitate to let us know if anything else comes up.
Cheers.
i am still having this issue. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling the method that was suggested in here. cleared cache, restarted my device, logged in and out numerous times, changed password....still nothing. The main page loads with all my content but when i select something to play i either get a black page or the "oopps something went wrong" warning. This is very frustrating. Works fine on my desktop. I am debating cancelling my account.
Hey @8a8djfo-_xp29,
Thanks for posting in the Community and the troubleshooting steps you've already tried.
Could you also try connecting to a different network with your phone and see if it works? Are you using a WiFi network or mobile data? If you're using a VPN connection, try turning the VPN off.
We'd also need more information on your device setup. What are the brand/model and operating system of the affected device? Does the same happen on another phone or with another account?
Keep us posted,
Cheers!
Something went wrong here as well.
Can see home screen, can't play anything.
Tried logging off, deleting, re-installing , different wi-fi, no wi-fi... nothing helps!!!
Can you help?
I have the same problem. Tried logging out, deleting app., re-installing, different wi-fi, no wi-fi. I can see my home screen, but cannot move on to play anything
Hey there @zsxk3dhyqo4yws34t1vo,
Thanks for reaching out.
Can you let us know when did this start happening? Was it after an app or OS update?
You can try logging in with another account, like a free account if the app allows it, and check if you can use the app then.
Looking forward to your reply.
ok, so i just managed to log in on my computer, but it still a NO GO on the phone.
tried logging out from phone, and logging in again, changed my password...
Hey there,
Thanks for the reply.
Have you tried using a different account or trying to login with your account on a different device?
Let us know how that went,
Cheers!
I was getting the same thing when adding music from Release Radar to my playlist. Was it because I have too much in it?
