This keeps happening (!)
1.
I would be playing a queue of songs based on an album - “album radio”.
2.
I add a song to the queue, which indeed shows up as the next song to be played.
3.
I pause Spotify to go and do something. When I come back, the song I added has disappeared! 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I forgot what the song I added was since there is no real history feature.
Please fix this bug!
Hi there @maxartist23
Thanks for reaching out. Could you tell us when this started happening and what device and Spotify Version it happens on? That will help us investigate this.
Thanks in advance.
thanks.
iphone latest spotify app
iOS 16.2
i honestly don't know when it started happening, but the first time i noticed this behaviour was december 2022.
please fix!
Hey @maxartist23,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
In this case, it'd be awesome if you could share with us a video recording of this behavior you're mentioning. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.
On another note, just to confirm, can you replicate this behavior on a different account on the affected device? You can ask for the account of a relative or a friend to open it in your device and check.
Lastly, do you notice if this is happening when adding to the queue a specific song or does it happen no matter what song you've queued?
Keep us in the loop!
many thanks for the reply.
why do you need a video of something so simple which i have clearly explained. all that's happening is songs are vanishing from my queue. there's nothing to visualize.
please can spotify fix this ASAP. it's an extremely annoying and frustrating bug!
i am using the latest iOS and the latest spotify app, so there should be no problems.
please see screenshots of vanishing songs from my queue:
Hi there @maxartist23
Thanks for the info and screenshots. Descriptions are good and all but it's always benefitial to see the exact behaviour, this is why screenshots and screen recording are always a huge help for us. As @AlejaR suggested before, can you please confirm if the issue occurs when you use a different account? Does it happen across different devices? How about the webplayer? This info will help us narrow down the issue and troubleshoot further.
Keep us posted.
I only have one account so cannot test on another account.
The issue only seems to happen on the iPhone, and it's been going on for months now.
Please fix it.
Hi there @maxartist23,
Thanks for the post and the info you've provided.
We tested this on our end, however we didn't get the same results.
Can you let us know if this issue happens when you've cleared the queue initially? Try clearing the queue, load up an album or a small playlist and then add 1-2 songs to the queue on top of that. It's possible that the app loads and plays songs previously loaded in the queue before it loads the latest ones you've added.
Keep us posted on how this goes.
This keep happening for me. It's been a bug for several months.
I'm not sure exactly what your suggestion means.
To be clear:
1. I add a song via search to my existing queue/currently playing...
2. and then pause what is currently playing for a while to go and do something
3. ...then when I come back to listen, the added song is no longer there.
It's as if it just forgets and discards anything that's been added on top of the queue.
What can be done about it, as this bug is very tedious and frustrating since a long time now.
Please fix this bug, thanks.
Hey @maxartist23,
Thanks for getting back to us and apologies for the delayed response.
We'd recommend that you reach out to our Customer Support team through one of the channels here. They should be able to check what's going on and help you further.
Hope this helps. Take care 🙂
If I have an album I am playing and then add an unrelated song to the queue - it will more often than not, vanish from the queue when I return to listening after doing something else (pausing the music, and taking a break, then re-opening the app).
This bug has been going on for well over a year and STILL has not been addressed or fixed.
Why is such a simple, basic thing not able to function properly on the iPhone app?
PLEASE FIX!!!
I have this issue (11 years later!). It resolves whenever Spotify updates to the latest version and is fine for a while, then it starts deleting the queue again and I have to put up with it till the next update.

My Question or Issue
My entire queue of songs randomly disappears quite often and I am extremely frustrated. I’ve noticed it happens most often if I pause my music and then repopen Spotify the next day. It will stay on the song I was listening to but everything I have added to the queue will be gone. This doesn’t happen every time, but it happens often. Also, this happens even though I did not force quit the app. Today I was listening to music and I had a very long list of songs that I had added to my queue. I was just browsing Spotify, and I clicked on a song which I had searched for that was unavailable. The music stopped and it said “this song is unavailable. Fine, no problem. So I click on another song. And then I look in my queue and it is all gone! I’m so mad because I will never remember all the songs I had put in there.
