Spotify Causing All Media to pause on iOS

My Question or Issue

Whenever Spotify is open in the background I can’t watch Facebook, YouTube, SnapChat etc videos without it pausing every second causing me to close the app to work

Have also had this issue.

I’ve noticed that the lock screen music player keeps the pause option visible showing as if it’s still playing music, and the phone won’t go to sleep without manually locking the device - if I forget to do this, it’ll stay on until the device runs flat.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 12.3, Spotify is updated.
