Looks like the last update broke the connection to my Sony HT-RT5.
Used to work previous to the update.
same applies to Android. Tested yesterday and all good. Updated the app and not working anymore.
iOS devices have access to the local network.
iPhone 11/iPad 5th Gen and iOS 14.0.1.
Hey @OlivierCes,
Thanks for searching for the answer you need here!
We recommend you log out everywhere and run a clean reinstall on all your devices, this involves deleting the cache files of the app and will force a account wide resynchronization of your info. You can have a look at this guide for the steps relevant to each device. This usually resolves connectivity issues like the ones you're experiencing.
If that doesn't fix things, we'd appreciate it if you try connecting to the soundbar using both Chromecast and Connect and letting us know if either of those did the trick. It's also a good idea to try with a Bluetooth connection as well.
We'd love to investigate this further! We'll be here if you have any other questions.
Exactly the same issue with a Sony Soundbar HT-ST5000 and iOS devices on iOS 14.3 and Spotify 8.5.86.739.
The soundbar is no longer listed within Spotify as Device to play on.
Hey @oliverraduner,
Thanks for posting.
We're sorry to hear you're also having issues with you soundbar. Could you let us know if the clean reinstall steps posted above make a difference? If you test other connection methods such as Bluetooth, Chromecast or cable and get back tu us with the results, that would also help us get to the bottom of this quicker.
Keep us posted. We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Sorry - It‘s because of the Soundbar, not Spotify.
Sonehow my soundbar was „stuck“ (even though most stuff worked) & had to do a factory reset to get it back working...
Hey @oliverraduner,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
We're happy you found a way to enjoy Spotify on your soundbar. A factory reset can cause an inconvenience, but it is quite an effective step as it removes any damaged files.
If something else comes up feel free to contact us again!
