I am using iOS 17 with version 8.6.42 of Spotify.
Spotify Jam/Group session doesn't appear.
I am using a free account, which I thought supported spotify Jam.

Hey @The-10,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.
Jam is a feature recently added to the Spotify app. The button to start a listening session is not appearing on your end because you need an active Premium subscription to do it. However, if a Premium account starts a Jam, any free account can join, listen and add songs to the queue. You can find more info in this article.
Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, Remember that the Community is just a post away!

I don't see the button either. I currently have a premium family plan - is it not included there?
Hey @MartinALHO,
Thanks for your reply.
Since you mentioned you can't see the option to create a Jam session, would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you see when trying to create a Jam? Remember you should start playing something (playlist, song, or album), and then go to the Now playing view. There, locate the Connect to a device icon:
Tap the icon, and you'll see both the list of devices to Connect and the option to create Jam:
If you can't see the option, please let us know. Send us the make/model and OS of the device in which you're having issues, along with the Spotify version you're running there.
Keep us in the loop!
Hi AlejaR
I'm hosting a Spotify jam, may I know whether the stream numbers counted for each non-premium who joined the Jam through my speaker?
Hi AlejaR
Another query, can a non-premium spotify user join the spotify jam remotely? this is because when they chose the option to join remotely they were unable to do so
Hey @Jackouan,
Thanks for reaching out!
While an active Premium subscription is required to join remotely, free users are able to join a Jam on the same speaker as the host.
Keep in mind that only Premium subscribers can start the Jam session, so make sure that all participants have accepted the invitation from the Jam host as well. Feel free to also have a look at this page for more details on how Jam works.
On another note, independent of the subscription status, each stream will be counted individually and per account that have joined the Jam.
Hope this clears things up! Cheers.
