My Question or Issue

My Spotify App always crashes when i search for a specific song in a playlist and try to swipe it into my queue. However, i can add it normaly over the playlist or over the 3 dots next to the song. I already tried unisntalling and reinstalling, even a clean reinstall like its said on other posts, nothing works.  Its really annoying and i dont know how to fix it. The error occuerrd like an hour ago and i cant find anything related to this problem. Help would be greatly appreciated.

My Question or Issue

Whenever I put down a song using the swipe to the right the app automatically shuts down and doesn't add the song to the queue. I this problem doesn't happen when I do it "manually" (click three dots, then add to queue), so is not that terrible, but is really annoying and strange. I tries it in my playlists, other playlists, on the searcher... on every case the app shuts down when I swipe a song to the right.

This is my issue aswell. I tried talking to customer support but I’m 90% sure that they’re all bots.

It’s been happening since Monday for me. It’s a pain. I hope we both get answers.

My Question or Issue

When adding a song in my library, when I use the search bar the app crashes.

Detailed instruction:

1. Go to your playlist.

2. Search for an Artist or song you want to put in your library to play next.

3. swipe to the right to put the song in your library

4. the app crashes

so the app only crashes when I first use the search bar.

spotify version: 9.0.18.548

When you slide the song to add it to the playback queue, the app closes

My Question or Issue

I can't use the search functions to add song in queue

situation below:

1. open the search bar

2. swipe left to add song to the queue

3. app closes unexpectedly!!!!!!!!!

(I have been already to try redownload the app but its not working)

(I can use the search bar and add queue function separately)

Since a few hours I also have this Problem. Everytime I search a song in a playlist and try to add it to the queue by swiping the app crashes. This doesn’t happen when I add it by clicking on the three dots. Also I can add songs by swiping from any place else. It just doesn’t work when I do it with a song i searched for in a playlist.

So I spent an hour in the support chat and tried troubleshooting with them and a technician. Here’s what came out in the end:

Several users have reported this issue, which appears to be related to specific accounts in the latest app version. Our technicians are already working on a fix, expected in the next update. As an immediate solution, the content can be transferred to a new account, though without song recommendations. Alternatively, we recommend adding songs to the queue manually instead of using swipe and keeping the app updated, as the issue should be resolved in a future update.

So we can just wait for the next update or make a new account and transfer our stuff.

Hope this helps!

Exactly the same as me

Hey there folks,

Thanks for the provided details and patience while we looked into this!

As the issue should be fixed with the newest version of Spotify, we recommend that you make sure the app is up-to-date if you haven't already done so.

Keep us posted 🙂

I have the same problem since a few days now.

  • Iphone 13
  • iOS 18.3.1
  • Spotify version 9.0.18

I downloaded todays update which came out an hour ago and I sadly still have the same problem

Yeah, me too. The update fixed nothing.

i am having the exact same issue! I refuse to make a new account as I have over 3500 songs on this one and lots of playlists that took a long time to build up

i have the same issue and it’s not fair to say we need to make a new account. Spotify you should be able to fix this!
