Spotify makes battery drain quicker when i’m offline?

When spotify is offline and i play music, the battery on my phone drains quicker compared to when i’m connected to wifi?

I’m not sure if this is normal. I’ve tried so many different things to see if anything can help but nothing is changing. 

I’ve deleted and reinstalled spotify multiple times in the past few months, i’ve had too many problems with it. 😞 

My device is an iPhone 11. Has anyone had this problem?

Can you let me know the status of your phones battery saving feature? 

Also, can you perform a clean reinstall of the app here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/How-can-I-perform-a-clean-reinstall-of-the-app/ta-p/4746485. It is more thorough than a normal one. 

I'd also advise ensuring the Download Using Cellular option is disabled within Spotify (Settings > Streaming Quality > Download Using Cellular) and that WiFi assist is disabled (iOS Settings > Mobile Data > scroll all the way down > toggle off WiFi Assist).

Let me know how this all goes.
