Spotify needs read ahead caching

By that I do not mean offline access as that requires some thought and planning. BUt I mostly use spotify in the car, where I do not have a garunteed data connection. If I start spotify radio, the app knows what songs are due to be played next so why can it not cahce those in advance while in a good signal area so that when the signal quality drops the music keeps playing?

Last night on my hour drive home I managed to listen to two songs, the rest of the time the signal quality was just not good enough.

In adition to this, some form of downscalling of bitrate, the way netflix does, would be a good idea. It's all well and good giving us the option of what quality we want to listen to, but if the app can't download at that rate it should downstep until it can.

I would love to love spotify, when I use it at home on WiFi I do love it. But the majority of my music listening is done in the car and it just leaves me frustrated and annoyed.

In contrast, I am an iTunes match subscriber. In the same hour drive a couple of days ago, going through the same signal areas, itunes streaming didn't stop once.
