Spotify shutting down

I'm a premium member, I've reinstalled the app about 4-5 times now thinking it would resolve the issue, I've tried like the proper deleting the app procedure of going to the settings clearing everything all that, but every time I reinstall it the same issue persists. When I close my app the music stops playing. Even though I have it enabled to play in the background whenever I open another app it stop playing and closes the app. I'd really like some advice on this I'm at my wits end with this. Thank you in advance for if nothing hearing me out ahahah.

Thanks for reaching out. What device is this on exactly? On mobile, if you just go to the home page without closing the app from the app list, it should keep running. Likewise, on Desktop if you just minimize the app, it will keep playing. In regards to the playback stopping when something else plays, that is mostly related to device settings, so look around for those and adjust them to allow multiple sound sources at the same time.
