Spotify stops playing in the background

Hello, i have this problem that whenever i am listening to music and return to my home screen, open another app or when i lock my screen spotify stops playing. This is quite annoying since i have used spotify for a long time and a few days ago this started happening, i tried the temporary fix by closing all your apps but it only works for like half a song.

i already reinstalled spotify and rebooted but nothing seems to help.

i am using an iphone 6s running ios 11.2.6

Sorry to hear your not able to listen to music in the background, but no worries - I’ll be happy to help.

Since you have iOS 11.2.6, the latest version available currently is 11.4.1. To do this, go to:

Settings > General > Software Update. I would recommend updating your phone, and let me know how this goes.
