Streaming to wrong device

Streaming to wrong device

Hey there,

we have two connected devices. With the former version, if you start playing a song of one device the music stopped on th other. That's ok. But now if listening to music on device one and someone (logged into the same account) try to start playing music on the second device, the new music is streamed to device one

Is that a bug or a feature? How can we get back the former beahvior?

That is part of Spotify Connect. You need to transfer playback to the device you want to use. See the help page for details:

Ok, I see th point. With your hint we can change the output device.

But it is quite funny because the one device is used by my daughter and a soon as she starts playing her music I get a hart attack.

Is it possibe to get the 'automatic device changing' behavior back?

 

Unfortunately not currently. Spotify are unlikely to make changes since it is actually against the terms of service to share accounts.
