Stuttering Audio

This wasn't an issue until a few months ago for me. No system changes until after the stuttering began.

There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this, but I tried reinstalling the OS and everything, but I still get a slight stutter during songs from time to time. 

I've got 20MB+ down, 6 Gigs of RAM, new video card, etc. Doesn't stutter with iTunes or Media Monkey. For the life of me, I can't figure out why all 4 processors spike at the same time while running like Spotify. Seems like it would be light weight and would run without issue. 

Hard to complain too much becuase I use the free version, but I would never upgrade to a paid version when the free one stutters/lags.

Anyone ever have this issue? Have you found a fix?
