My Question or Issue

Is there any way to sync local files between two iPhones? I’m away from my PC but I just got a new phone and I want to sync all my local files from my old phone to my new one, but when I go to the sync options on both phones it says no devices are available for syncing (they’re both on the same network and I’ve tried going on offline mode for a few minutes on both phones then going back online but that didn’t work). Can I only sync local files from a PC? Is there no way to do it between phones?

Hi @hyuh

Welcome to the Community! We're happy to shed some light on the situation.

At the moment it's not possible to sync Local Files only between phones, this is because the files are stored in your PC. So, in order to sync the music on your new phone it's necessary you connect to the same internet network as your computer.

These are the steps to sync the music after you're connected to the same network:

  1. In your iPhone, go to Settings  > Local Files and switch on Enable sync from desktop.
Note: You need to allow Spotify to find devices in the prompt that shows.
  2. Download the playlist with your local files

In this article you can find more info about the Local Files and how to manage them according to your device.
