To start, could try clearing cache from the app? Once it's done, try logging out and then back in again. This action should resync your account info.
Another option is to check if a clean reinstall of the app makes any difference, this will clear the saved cache as well.
If you're still having issues, can you try saving an album using another device to see it the same thing happens there?

Just to confirm, is this only happening on your iPhone or on other devices as well?
If this only happens on your iPhone, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your device to see if they can replicate this behavior?
