I deleted Spotify along with a few other apps because I was trying to clear some space on my iPhone and had read that was the only way to remove offline mode songs from your phone. I was able to re-install every app other than Spotify. Spotify will act as if it's about to begin downloading again, then refuse and act as if I never made the request in the first place. I have no idea what's going on, but I have Spotify Premium and this should not be a problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app before I had premium without any difficulty.
I tried resetting, I tried logging out of my Apple ID and back in, I tried downloading other apps, and I tried clearing up even more space. I really can't tell what's going on. I've tried downloading on both cellular data and wifi. Any help would be appreciated.
From what I can tell, this looks to be a problem with the app itself rather than the app + iPhone, bc I can access the old backup version of Spotify I have on my laptop, but I'm unable to update it either on my laptop or when I force it onto my iPhone. My guess is maybe they're updating the app right now and that's causing download issues, but you'd think you'd see a lot more people on the forums talking about this if that was the case.
Deleted my Spotify app off my iphone 6. Tried to reinstall through the app store and it won't work. Tried shutting my phone off. Nothing. Please help!
Apple Music..? Look out - I have 2 ipads one wont update Spotify, the other (which never had ti) wont install.. Just upgraded to iOS 8.4, and guess what..? Pandora wont update either..
Looks suspicious to me...
Hey everyone,
Thanks for the reports.
Everything looks good on our end, it looks like this was a temporary outage.
Can you give it another go?
Let us know if you're still having trouble with this.
Thanks!
I deleated my spotify as all my saved songs on my iphone had gone so i was wanting to refresh it. I still can't re install it though, it keeps saying its having temporary problems. What should i do??
I am having this same issue (November 2015). I tried to install an update which would never work. So I deleted the Spotify app in hopes of reinstalling it (as I have been directed to do by Apple in the past when an app update won't work). But now I can't install the Spotify app at all. I click on the download symbol and it doesn't work. Very frustrated with Spotify right now. Not an Apple problem because I downloaded two other apps just fine. I have plenty of memory so that's not the issue. What is going on?
As far as I understand Apple had an issue on iOS which caused some problems where some of the Appstore apps would not successfully install on iPhone in some cases. First I recommend you to update to the latest iOS 9.3.1, and try to install Spotify app then. If that's not working then I recommend you to download Tunnelbear app from the Appstore, then enable VPN and then try to download Spotify again.
You can also try to restore your iPhone and set it as a new iPhone.
same. problem. here
