User not visible in Friend Activity

I have searched the community for an answer, but I couldn't find one. So here is my question:

In my spotify friend activity I can see what my friends are listening to, but one friend isn't visible (normally it was). My friend has an iPhone 7, uses WiFi or 4G, doesn't use a private session or is offline. What could be the problem here?

Hey!

Your friends’ Publish Activity is on? He or she can find this option in Settings > Social > Publish Activity, right after the Private Session.

did you both try to logout/login again?

Is the newest version of Spotify on each of your device installed?
