Using Spotify with Siri on Apple Watch not working

My Question or Issue

When I try to use Siri on my Apple Watch to, for example, search for a song on Spotify, it replies with the following: "To do that, you’ll need to verify your account details on Spotify". Is this a common issue? Is there a fix for it?

I also had this issue but found that firstly using Siri on iPhone (to request a song on Spotify) got it working. I also went in and out of airplane mode on the watch but I don’t think this was important.
