Videos in other apps pausing when Spotify is open in the background

Whenever Spotify is open in the background on my phone, it will pause videos in other apps every second, even if the music in Spotify is paused. I have tested this a few ways and the only thing that fixes it is to quit Spotify manually, and videos play normally after this.

On top of the bad UI update, this is a terrible bug to have, as it affects other apps.

Yeah, this has been happening to me for so long that I’m canceling my premium subscription. Now it’s affecting my iOS alarms, silencing them, and to see others report of this for years with no solution is mindboggling and frustrating.
