My Question or Issue

the volume mixer shows my volume is at full, but the actual output volume of my music is more than halved. it usually happens when i wake my phone screen, pause my music, switch apps etc.

i have tried reinstalling spotify, restarting my phone, having the phone on a high battery level, adjusting the settings on both my phone and the spotify app as told in other posts like this. its not a hardware issue as this doesnt happen at any other point except when im listening to spotify.

this also will not happen when i have my phone connected to my airpods/speakers etc. only when using the phone's speakers.

Hey @lunasies,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

We appreciate the troubleshooting you've tried so far. So to continue, would you mind checking if you have the option "volume normalization" turned on? If so, we'd recommend turning it off or changing the value to see if it makes any difference. You can find this option by tapping your Profile picture > Setting and privacy > Playback. We'd also recommend turning OFF your phone's equalizer as it may change the quality and volume of the playback.

Lastly, we understand you’ve already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article?

We'll be on the lookout.

I’m experiencing an issue with Spotify on my iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 18.6.1. Although the volume mixer shows that the output is at full, the actual sound from the phone’s speakers is noticeably reduced, often more than halved. This typically happens when I pause music, wake the screen, or switch between apps. I’ve already tried the common troubleshooting steps such as reinstalling Spotify, restarting my phone, clearing cache, and adjusting both iOS and Spotify playback settings, but the problem persists. The issue does not occur when using AirPods or external speakers, only with the phone’s built-in speakers, which makes me believe this is a Spotify-specific bug on iOS rather than a hardware fault.      ForemostPayOnline com
