Volume issues with remembering device

After latest update the app no longer remembers the volume of devices. This has resulted in in-app music switching to full volume while wearing headphones, and likely hearing damage

I’ve noticed the same thing. It used to remember my volume levels for different outputs, whether it be Bluetooth, Lightning/aux, or the phone speaker, but now it keeps the volume from what I was last listening to. It seems to keep them occasionally, but 9 times out of 10, it doesn’t. There have been multiple times where I accidentally play something after having been connected via aux to my car and it’s at full blast because I have it at max on my phone and control the volume from the stereo in it. I can’t imagine how bad it could be if it was full volume in someone’s headphones like that.
