What's up with this new Home screen?

Whats up with the new home screen being random playlist? Its really bad, can I change it back?

I HATE THE NEW HOME SCREEN I also hate that there is a new Home Screen every 4 days I hate having to go searching for my music bc they’ve changed everything every time I login cut it out give it up change back admit defeat and move on. Go back to old Spotify and let us all move on with our lives 

This Home Screen is so bad and I hate using it legit considering switching services I can’t stand it 

I hate it it’s disgusting 

Stop changing it please I hate it (we’ll change one more time to undo all this nonsense) terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible 

I’m starting a new thread in the hope that the more there are the more attention this problem will get.

 

The new “single tile” homepage debacle is infuriating. Just change it back already Spotify. The test is over.

 

I’ll be changing to YouTube music if you don’t and encourage anyone else to do the same.

agree 100%; this new UI is utterly useless and frustrating. I use Spotify to browse & quickly locate specific playlists/artists/podcasts to listen to, so the old UI was great because it packed a lot of relevant information in a small area. 

 

But now, my entire screen is taken up with a single podcast episode (with the clip set to autoplay! That alone is an unforgivable sin) displayed as some godawful ripoff of Reels/TikTok. I kept swiping hoping I’d get past these stupidly huge tiles and the old & actually useful UI would be below, but no; it’s just huge ass autoplaying reels all the way down, so I gave up and closed the app.  

 

Spotify: plagiarizing TikTok’s UI will not increase revenue because you’re a music service, not a social media app. Your old UI was perfect for a music service; go back to that.  This new TikTok-esque UI is so hamfisted and inappropriate, it’s like opening your online banking app and seeing lipsync reels instead of your bank account balance. 

 

If you make your service frustrating to use, premium subscribers like me will simply cancel and spend their money on a streaming service whose UI doesn’t suck.

I do Not like the new big-Video-overview-list. idea: make that a feature that could be disabled in the settings and bring back my little info-squares on the homescreen

Not only is this screen clunky af, I can’t find my daily mixes or other useful stuff like that. If I search for them I get other random user’s mixes and frankly I don’t feel like scrolling through my tiktok-esque home screen for 20 minutes to find it. Let me opt out of this. Or get feedback in house. jeez

Why Spotify? The home screen was fine and now, it’s garbage. Yuck. Love you Spotify, but you messed this one up.

After the purchase of Spotify premium family, my home page has changed. The recently played grid has changed, but on the other member account the grid is still present. I had tried even re installing the app but still the issue is present. Soo is there any way i can revert to old layout where the grid was present for recently played??

Dealing with Customer Service is a total waste of time. There is no single case in so many years when they helped.

I agree, it's ruining the app... terrible design!

I mean this in the nicest way possible but I really do not like this new design, I'm already paying for premium, why can't I choose if I want to be a part of the users testing new features? Please revert to the previous home page, this is the complete opposite of convenience in my honest opinion if that's what you guys were going for.

They don't give us the possibility to go back like Mircrosoft (google, etc) do with their application. It looks like a team of amateurs!

This is absolutely horrible and if they don’t fix it soon I’m just gonna leave and switch over to another music app. I never thought I would want to leave Spotify but it’s extremely cumbersome and with what I do I need to be able to pick my music quick and move on. They should at least give us the option to go back to the original layout. 

Yall ruined my workout. I could not find the music I was looking for. Thanks so much I wish I could scream 

I completely agree! This is not ok

Really, this update is absolutely horrible. I would love to know how to revert or anything else to make this better. Flipping through endless single suggestions (and with non-fluid scrolling to boot) is a no-go. And it all seems to be at random to make it worse. I've been a Spotify premium from the moment it came out in the US and I've loved the service, but this ruins half of the features that make Spotify great. Practically speaking, it shuts the door for new suggestions, discovery, navigation, ease of use, finding anything, etc., etc. PLEASE go back. And at least respond. Without exaggeration, this actually could ruin Spotify if it is not fixed because it is so bad- very, very poor choice and I don't want to see Spotify go under because of a poorly designed user interface that makes all the great features of Spotify inaccessible. I can't stand apple music, but as I've already seen from other users, if this sticks around for much longer at all, I'll have to cancel and migrate over to the **bleep**. And I don't want to, so please, fix this pronto. And if you must monkey with it to make a new UX/UI... revert it in the meantime so that it's at least usable pending improvements.

The new UI is truly a game changer for me. Restore the old one, which is still available on the website on my desktop with all the sub-headings like "Jump back in", "Your top mixes" etc.  Otherwise I will be forced to use your competitors instead. I do not want or need huge screens of old song videos.
