bad sound quality

Ive being using the premiun service for two months on my several mobile devices without any problem; recently the sound quality has decreased on my ios 6 iphone , the music sounds distorded and even though Ive tried to upgrade the quality the sound does not get better , is it something with the operating system ???

Are you using bluetooth speakers or just plain old headphones?

I posted about the exact same topic a few days ago and it haas not been resolved.  When i play music from my iphone (was iphone 4, now iphone 5) either bluetooth or hard patched with a cable, the music sounds distorted.  There is defintely something amiss.

Have you tried a clean reinstallation of the app?

bad quality happens in all audio out ports , dock conector , headphones and headphones plug out , I will try desinstalation , ive tried my spotify on my ipod 4th generation and it works well , so there must be something on the operatins system of the iphone.

the apple music app works well though

Have this same issue on my iPhone 5 via bluetooth to my car. I'm a premium subscriber and everything worked fine before switching to the iPhone 5. Audio playback in the settings is set to extreme but the sound quality is simply awful. I know it's not the car nor the phone since iTunes streams fine to the car, Pandora streams fine, etc. It's just Spotify that doesn't sound very good. Very disappointing so hopefully someone will help

FYI, this started on my iphone 4 a couple of weeks ago.  Just got the new iphone 5 yesterday and the issue remains.

I tried usling the Old spotify app(ios4) instead so far so good the sound quality is back to normal

I reinstalled the app on my iphone and the issue now seems resolved.  Finally.

I have tried three different browser and different players. Same problem with all of them. Hit miss sound but it always go back to being static and and skipping . I have removed and re-downloaded on all three browsers. Nothing works.  HELP!!!!!  Any suggestions????

When you say browsers, what device are you listening on (since this is the iOS section)?

Exactly my problem too. Pandora works as does 8tracks. It's not even acceptable to listen to.

iPhone 5 on iOS 8.1.1 loaded and music was sounding terrible!  Muffled and distorted output.  DELETED Spotify app and reloaded the Spotify App and adjusted the Spotify EQULIZER settings.   this was the FIX for me....make sure to load Spotify for iPhone.

Deleting and reinstalling on iPhone 6 worked PERFECTLY for me!
