cannot send message but can recieve message

I am using spotify verson

I am using Spotify version 1.0.12.161.g64b0797c and I suddenly lost the ability to send messages. I continue to receive all messages but when I send a message, it appears it is sent but the person doesnt receive it. And it disappears from my chat history after about 10 minutes.

Until yesterday (i ran a windows update for Windows 7), I was able to send and receive messages without any problems.

Can you please recommend a fix for this? I have already tried uninstalling and re-installing spotify.
