iOS app starts to shuffle tracks after it connects to the desktop app

I've had this for quite a while: if I am playing an album on my iPod app and the PC my desktop app is open, it connects to it and then starts to play the tracks shuffled (from the iPod). First I checked if by any chance I had shuffle mode on, but no (I never use it and I really care about playing albums beginning to end in the original track order). It doesn't happen if the mobile app connects to the Mac app; the problem is only between the iPod and the PC. The only solution to it is to go to the album and play the song again, then it switches back to the regular track order. But for this I have to stop whatever I am doing and waste time on an issue that should not exist. 

Has anyone else noticed this on their setup?
