iOS app widget lost functionality

On the Spotify iOS app (version 9.0.58), the app homescreen widget is now.. very ugly and doesn’t have the same functionality as before (showing top albums listened to). Please restore the previous functionality as “play song radio” is never — never — a primary action I would like to take while listening to an album. However, being able to see my most recent albums played and jump to them is something I use all the time.

please change it back to playlist cover instead of recently played song. Everyone hates it. I matched my playlists with my wallpapers and now there's no point to the widget. It's horrible.

Put it back to playlist covers on the Spotify widget!!! Completely ruins the widget. Spotify is on my LAST NERVE.

This new widget version really sucks and is a total waste of space. Those whole point of have a large widget on your screen is to gain quick access to more functions without having to open the app...I dont need a a widget to take up 1/3 of my screen just to add a single play button or ONE recent item... Spotify employees keep commenting "well sometimes we try new things" ...whoever's greenlighting the concept of changing a widget that did 4 or 6 functions, down to 1 or 2 functions, should not have that job. This is like the Spotify "CAR-THING" device all over again. How totally disappointing that was... "hey buy this spotify touchscreen for your car and fall in love with using it, just so we can completely discontinue it, even though it was great the way it was."

I have just spent an hour trying to get the Spotify widget to show my recent playlists not my recent song. I didn’t realize it was an update. I agree with all the above comments. I hate the update. Please revert to the previous widget where I can find my recent playlists. There’s no reason to have a medium sized widget just to press play. I do that from control center on my iPhone

Widget in stacks used to show playlist overview instead of individual songs. As this isn't my jam, I hope Spotify will consider making a personalization setting to allow users to choose? Thank you.

the widget update sucks so much, genuinely. it’s so ugly, removes functionality, and is unchangeable. maybe instead of adding an in-app messaging feature that nobody asked for, try fixing the things that are already broken that literally everybody hates. or at least at an option to customize it one way or the other. just sucks to pay money to a company for years and years to see that they don’t care about their user’s opinions and just continue making things worse
