iOS feature / bug fix - Timer to stop playing

In iOS, you can set a timer in the stock Clock App and have it stop playing. When using the stock Music app it works fine, but for the Spotify app it doesn't.
More specifically, it appears to pause momentarily before continuing to play.

I find it great for drifting off at night.

Does anyone else have the problem or is it working for you?
Can Spotify look into this?

Yeah I had this problem, its been around for I think two or three versions of Spotify for ios now.

The suggestion in the other thread is to use an app called "Sleep Timer", its free and the logo is a picture of the moon. This still succesfully stops spotify music.
