Update: iOS update 0.5.9 has fixed the stability issues. Please update now and test it out.
The new iOS 0.5.8 update has killed the iPad app. Even after reinstall it constantly crashes. What's going on?
I'm running iOS 6.0.1 on the 4th generation iPad.
Spotify can't seem to get their act together...
New update also kills the people tab on the iPad.
When clicking on the people tab, friends are shown for a few seconds and then the list disappears.
This happens on every re-launch. There is no way to get the people list to show for more than 3 seconds.
Also after clicking on settings and clicking on a settings menu on the iPad, the settings back arrow is cut off at the top.
My music experience has been ruined by these bugs.
UPDATE:
I was able to use the app for a while -- notice the other bugs I found -- and after downloading playlists for offline use, the app started crashing.
Looks like downloading any playlist for offline use will constantly crash the app until you reinstall the app.
The most used feature on the iPad app constantly crashes the app?
What...? Updates need more testing before going live.
I would be happy to help test future updates.

DO SOMETHING!! And don't just play with the playlists!
I am also affected by this problem.
Any chance you could take a look at my playlists as well?
Can you give some hints on how to re-arrange the plalists? In other words; what is the excact problem? As someone suggested I created a new folder and put all my existing folders into that one, but that doesn't seem to work. Or do I have to re-install again?
Can anyone from spotify clarify when this will be resolved and how we go about claiming for the time without a useable service? When you pay for a service you expect a certain level of quality in return. Beta or not, that quality and customer service is just not there right now.
I'm haveing the same issue and I'm not happy about it....I will give it a few days then I will cancel my premium spotify subscription!
I would suggest if spotify dosnt want thousands of people cancelling their subscriptions yet hey move fast and at least give knowledge that they are working on the problem!

No, since the app crashes suddenly
this is a server side issue. quit **bleep**ing about with your playlists trying to fix it.
half the people suggesting workarounds here have not got a clue what they're talking about.
As I wrote in this thread, I have the same issue. Copy and Paste from there:
"Okay. I tried reinstalling the app, as well as restarting my phone.
Now the app doesn't crash as soon as I try to open it, but instead only when I try to press the Playlists tab. Which, of course, makes the app pretty useless to me.
Spotify, what should I do? I'm a paying customer and expect the service to work."
I've got the same problem! I'm about to get on an 11 hour flight in a few hours and am dreading it! This is exactly why I have spotify - thanks for f*cking it up at exactly the wrong time!
A mi me pasa exactamente igual, no se puede utilizar la aplicación.
Hello there,

But the team is working on it really hard.

Thanks a lot.
Hello, adding a me too here.
ipad 3, 6.0.1 and latest spotify app. Start spotify, shows the moving three dots, can quickly move between views and then crash. Restarted device and reinstalled, but problem persists.
Thanks for any and all information about this problem.
Another me too! Also reported to @SpotifyCares on twitter.
Same problem here, ios 6.0.1, latest version of spotify app crashes immediately upon startup (Ipad 3)
Same problem here.
I am looking at a 2+ hour commute home tonight due to the hurricane aftermath. I would like to listen to my music on my paid premium account.
IOS 5.1.1 on iPad 1, latest version of spotify IOS app crashes immediately on startup.
I experience the same problems as described.
Someone commented that problems would solve after rearranging all playlists into one folder, reinstall Spotify on Iphone and the it should work.
Not for me!!
How to proceed? Or simply wait for a correction?
