Do Spotify have plans to release a new version for iOS that makes use of the larger iPhone 6 displays?

I'm very happy I canceled my Spotify subscription, I switched to beats music because spotify won't even work on my phone, I'm also very happy that beats music is OPTIMIZED for IPHONE 6! Beats music has more to offer them spotify and soon the price will drop to $5. Can't wait!

Yes I would try beats but not available in the uk surprise surprise. Our options in the uk are more limited than over Usa. Still not got iTunes radio(does it even still exist)

Yeah, I know. It's not here either, but i set up the account while in New York. Could Probably set it up with a proxy or something. Atleast get access to the free trial!

And now that Apple ownes it, We'll see a refresh and international release soon, I'd guess. probably way before we see iPhone 6 support from Spotify

i was patient until now but it's been more than enough time. 

All Apps on my iPhone have been updates except Spotify and WhatsApp how is this possible?

All the other streaming services already have updates for the new iPhones and they've had them for a while now. It was the same story with the iPad interface update too. Spotify really needs to improve its time to market with these updates. Hire more devs if that's the problem. Quickly before folks start switching.

You must not use many apps because there are PLENTY of apps that have not been updated for iPhone6/6+.

It will come.  Everybody needs a dose of patience.

Spotify tends to take a very long time to update things on the iOS side, you must be patient.  

If you absolutely need optimization for iPhone6(+), go with Rdio/Beats/Google Music/Tidal/etc.  Otherwise, hang in there!  Shouldn't be more than a few more months.

Spotify has no respect for apple customers. WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG!? It is ridiculous, especially with what they did with the iPad version (which was nearly a year)! Hurry up! I am not happy, I want the optimisation as I am premium customer!

Listen to yourself, you sound like a petulant child. No one is telling you that you have to be a premium customer. If you're not happy with their service spend your money on something similar.

Everytime i hang up on a phone call, spotify start playing, if its open in the background. Starts playing even if its been paused for hours. Not a big issue, just annoying. Anyone else have this?

I haven't experienced this problem, this is probably a dumb question but have you tried reinstalling the app?

For my iPhone 6, I tried everything except changing my regional settings (I am in US and the only customer support email I received suggested me to change my location to UK!).  None worked and I could not login. 

After quite a few hours, it suddenly worked and I could log in, for no reason. 

This was a horrible experience.  I came to realize the SPOTIFY software is far behind the the music.  The support Spotify provides to its subscribers is amazingly ZERO.

It's because iphone's bluetooth implementation is terrible. I have been working on a jailbreak way to fix it, but it is down to editing code. There used to be a jailbreak app to give you control over A2DP but it no longer works. Android bluetooth is years ahead of Apple.

Dear Spotify Developmebt Team

It has been over 2 months since the release of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and there is still no update. I am aware that it will be ready when it's ready, and that giving accurate timeframes for development can be less than easy. I know first hand, as a professional web developer. But two+ months to implement support for a bigger screen is a little bit extreme. Now I know you probably want to ensure the app is stable before release, but honestly, what can go wrong updating your app just to support a bigger screen. Unless you have something big to announce like a bunch of new layout options for the 6 Plus, then many people are going to be quite unimpressed by this.

Actually, the iPhone 6 SDK has been available for about three month now so there definitely was a lot of time to get it done.
From all the apps on my phone, Spotify is the only one not optimized. Especially know with many conpetitors in the market who have long updated their app this is definitely not good practice.
If iPhone 6 conpatibility is not released untill mid December I think I am going to switch to another service.
Only reason I haven't already is because I don't want to loose my playlists.
Also, the app seems to draw a lot of battery.
