iPhone does not ring while listening to Spotify

My Question or Issue

When I listen to music through Bluetooth, when a phone call comes in, the music mutes, but I do not hear a ring tone. This does not happen with the iOS music app. This is inconvenient because I use Spotify in my car, and have my phone announce calls to know who is calling.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps. I'd also recommend to update to iOS 12.0.1 and check if you have Do Not Disburd on 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
