iPod Touch Not Opening

I am a premium account holder using an iPod Touch with iOS 6.1.3 and Spotify Verson 0.7.2 and the app will not open.  Ever. 

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.

 

I have turned the iPod on and off several times.

 

I get a completely blank screen.  

 

I have tried searching the forums to see if there was anyone with the exact issue, but can't seem to find anyone or a solution. 

 

HELP!

Hi. Can you try the following:

 

Hold the Home and Lock buttons together for 10 seconds to restart your device.

-- Connect to a different network and see if the problems persist.

-- Perform a clean reinstallation.

Thanks also for the What's New link!  Been missing that since they've replaced it with the annoying (and un-dismissable) 'Discover'

Same problem.....spotify does not recognize the ipod

When you say does not recognize, what type of iPod are you using?
