music wont stream on iPhone 4 with strong 3G signal

One of the reasons I decided to go with Premium is so that I could stream on 3G in the car and while walking. To date, I'm having nothing but trouble, particularly after the most recent update. I understand that I can store playlists for off-line listening, but I should be able to use 3G as promised as well.

I'm having this same issue.  I've tried deleting and re-installing Spotify.  Didn't fix it.  I've tried restarting my iPhone.  Didn't fix it.  

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Can you try playing it over wifi? Do you have the same problem too? Playing over cellular is based on tons of factors.

Would be good if you can do a speedtest on your phone using the speedtest.net app so you get an idea of how well the connection is going.

Also check your Settings -> Music Quality -> Sync Quality, make sure it is not at Extreme, so your 3G won't take the hit to buffer. You can try Normal and give a shot!
