my ui just changed. now it only shows ‘playlists’ ‘artists’ and ‘albums’

the albums only appear if they’re full saved and all my song went to a playlist called ‘liked songs’ that can’t be changed. what happened? my account is premium.

Hope you are doing great!

At Spotify, possible improvements and new features are often being tested. This means you might see something on the app your friend doesn't, or get a brand new feature for only a temporary period.

Things tested could include the next generation of security protection, or new ways to listen. It's also a way for Spotify to introduce new features, and fine-tune the app to be compatible with specific devices.

However if you don't like the changes I’d suggest starting a new thread in the Community Ideas Exchange.

This’ll allow users, Stars, and Moderators to vote and comment on it.

This is the first time ever I compain after being a Premium user for years. This layout is terrible. 

The "songs" sections for me was primordial and the fact you could sort songs by "downloaded" items was a very much useful feature.

Now it is a mess. The "liked songs" playlist, which in my view us supposed to replace the "songs" section, is not linked to albums you have currently saved. I have a playlist with 9000 songs from which I dont listen to the great marjority anymore. 

I dont see the point in pushing "improvements" to users by removing features and functionalities.

I totally agree, this new UI is so poor! Going backwards and giving users less possibilities to track their songs! I don't want to listen to full albums, i want to listen to the songs i pick from an artist. This new interface makes it impossible and this is highly frustrating. I sincerely hope Spotify will bring back the former layout, otherwise there is no reason to be a premium member.

and what exactly is the point of creating new threads on that forum? it's not like you're going to care anyway. the new UI is an absolute disaster and you know it.

**bleep**. after being a spotify promoter and evangelist for years and using the service since the day it came to the USA, I feel like i'm weeks away from abandoning my whole library.

the whole UX has been upended to the point of being unusable.  not sure what spotify was thinking, but everyday I want to discuss how bad spotify has become instead of saying "this is the best service you can pay for."
