"Downloads" menu item missing on IPhone

"Downloads" menu item missing on IPhone

When looking at "Your library" in iOS, on my phone I see Downloads. On my wife's phone that particular menu item is missing. We have a family account in the same version 6.8.0 .3786.

At one point I thought it was because I had 6S plus and she just had a 6. More real estate one screen I was thinking. But but then I checked on someone else's iPhone 6 and they had the downloads item in the menu. So it's not a real estate sizing thing. We both have downloaded music and we both access music in off-line mode regularly but why does the "Downloaded" menu item not show up for her "my library" list??

I really like the feature because it allows me not only to look at it downloaded music all in one place but it also recommends recently played music for download. Having this feature missing on her phone as a real bummer because I use it and I know she would as well.

Please help. Thanks

I had the feature since I bought a premium account (about a year ago) and since a week or two it’s gone. Can you please give it back to me because I used it all the time and now I have to search for the albums and playlists one by one.” And that’s a tiny bit annoying. Thanks so much in advance.

This was driving me nuts too, as I had downloaded a bunch of albums for a roadtrip, & then couldn’t find the downloads section under “Your Library” anymore.

After some poking around, it would appear that Spotify changed how this is done, without telling a soul. Bad form, but completely par for the course with Spotify, it would seem.

The following instructions apply to iOS:

Go to “Your Library”, & instead of expecting the “Downloads” section, select “Albums”. On the Albums screen, pull down while at the top of your list, & a Filter bar will appear, as well as a hamburger button in the top-right corner.

Select the hamburger button.EB1E5643-7E07-430D-AE9D-12F0B1086ABB.jpeg

From here, you’ll get the option to filter your album list by the albums that you’ve downloaded.2B134E69-41C7-433C-A02B-05778883401F.jpeg

Select “Downloads”, & the Albums list will now only display your offline albums.F2891919-0B0E-4D10-9A4A-85B7F53EA8FD.jpeg

Remove the filter in order to return to your full list of saved albums.

Hope this helps!!

WOW you are right thanks for revealing this too subtle feature. This is a game changer! Thanks so much!!!

You absolute star!!! Thank you!

Just noticed that my YOUR LIBRARY aid missing the downloaded folder. I use this all the time when traveling. Really annoying. It doesn’t even make sense for Spotify to remove this as a beta test. GIVE IT BACK!

Unfortunately this section has been discontinued from the app.

You can also choose to list only Downloads in Your Library:

  1. Tap Your Library  in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap Playlists, Songs, Albums, or Artists.
  3. Pull down and release to display  at the top. Tap it.
  4. Under Filter by, tap Downloads or Imported Music.
Note: Filter options may vary depending on the list you’re filtering.
  5. To return to the original list, repeat these steps and tap the selected filter again.
