Bug on Spotify PS4

When I hit play on any song it will automatically switch back to pause instead. As a result I cannot play any song unless I play it by connecting to my mobile phone and selecting the song from the phone instead.

Same here. Very annoying. To me it even happens when selecting/controlling from the phone on most songs. At first I thought it was something weird on Spotify Connect but it happens also when another device is not controlling.
Please assist...

I contacted Spotify support and they created a new account for me, then
moved all my playlists etc to the new account. This one works perfectly
with PS4 and Chromecast Audio - previously having issues with the old
account.
