Can I see if a gift card is valid without scratching off the pin code?

I received a Spotify premium gift card for Christmas however I already have a premium family account. I’d like to regift it to a friend who doesn’t have premium but I’d like to check and make sure it is valid before gifting it to save from any awkwardness. Is there a way to see if the gift card is valid without scratching off the pin code and just using the card # that is on the back of the gift card?

I don't think there's any way to check this, but if the card was purchased in a store, it was activated by the cashier, so it should be valid. 🙂

Thanks Maxim. For some reason there isn't a date written in the expiry box so im not entirely sure if it is validated.

If the gift card was bought at a store, it should be active. Keep in mind that there's no expiration date on those gift cards 🙂
