Never mind.. other posts suggest that even though the password page just generates an error, the password is still created.

Thanks for sending that info @martijn_bakker!
Just to make sure, how are you trying to log in to your Marantz device? Are you using Connect?
Could you try using your numeric username and password? You can find it by right-clicking your profile and selecting "Copy Spotify URI".
Let us know how you get on.
Hey @martijn_bakker!
Just to make sure, are you still having issues? Also, can you let us know for what device you're trying to create a password?
We'll see what we can suggest.
Hello,
I'm trying to create a password for my Marantz NR1604 receiver and my Grammophon. They got disconnected from my Spotify account.
I understand that this happens when you login with Facebook at least once. I held off doing that for a long time, because I don't want to be dependent on Facebook for something that isn't Facebook related and I feel a little cheated that Spotify didn't mention they'd be disconnecting the devices if I used the Facebook login. So now I need to create a device password for the devices.
No problem, right. Spotify has a page for that. They send me a link in the email. I click on the link and enter my chosen password twice. My problem is that the resulting page has been showing me "An error has occurred" and suggesting that I "try again later" for the past few days. (The real error message is in Dutch, so my translation may be a little off). I have tried all kinds of passwords, thinking that there may be some rule for minimum complexity of passwords (which seems to make sense) or that some characters could not be part of the password (which makes no sense to me, but some sites do it anyway).
No matter what password I enter, all I get is that same error message.
Someone suggested elsewhere that, even though you see the error message, the device password is still created. This hasn't worked for me. But maybe the password I tested it with really doesn't satisfy Spotify's complexity requirements or contains invalid characters or whatever else. I can't see because the page always generates the same rather unhelpful error message.
This seems like a programming error that should be affecting many more people, but I haven't found any similar posts (except the one that mentions it should work, even though you see the error message).
Have any of you encountered the same thing?
Does Spotify have requirements for the device passwords that could mean my passwords are invalid?
Has anyone succesfully set a device password via the Spotify account management pages?
Thanks for sending that info @martijn_bakker!

Thanks for your help. Logging in with the numeric username and password worked for me. I have no idea why it didn't work before or why the devices were logged out.
We're glad to hear it worked @martijn_bakker!
If there's anything else we can do for you, just give us a shout.
Have a great day 🙂
I'm having the same issue to create device password. I'm trying to use Spotify with Onkyo NR-626.
Could anyone help me?
I got it! I created six numbers password and the same message appears. However, I tried to login in Onkyo and it works.
Thanks anyway.
