Can't make monthly payment till new card arrives

Can't make monthly payment till new card arrives

My Question or Issue

My payment card was recently cancelled due to fraudulent activity in my account. I have a new card coming and should be here within the next 24hrs. My monthly payment was due on the 9/1 and I'm worried that they will try again before I get the new card set up. My main concern is losing my premium history. Is there any way to contact Spotify to let them know the background for my missed payment?

Hey @prankish,

Thanks for reaching out.

If there’s a problem with your payment method, Spotify will try to process the payment again over the next few days.

If it still doesn’t go through, your account will move to the Free plan, but you’re always welcome to upgrade back to Premium at any time at https://spotify.com/premium

Don’t worry—your saved music, playlists, and preferences are tied to your account, not your subscription, so you’ll still have access to them, even as a Free user.

I hope this clears things up 🙂
