Can't unlink facebook, any help?

Can't unlink facebook, any help?

Hello,

I know plenty of people have opened up their spotify account with facebook, but myself did not. I opended my spotify account strictly through spotify. After, I decided to link my facebook to check out how it all worked. Now, I am unable to unlink my old facebook account that i had linked to spotify some time ago. I want to unlink my old facebook account because I created a new one and want to link my new one at the moment.

Why is this happening.. its a little frustrating.

As mentioned in this topic, have you tried these steps? :

"Since you have a dedicated Spotify account, disconnecting from Facebook is easy.

faq facebook disconnect.png

In the desktop client:

  • Windows - Go to Edit > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook.
  • Mac - Go to Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook.

Once you have done that, your Spotify account is no longer linked to Facebook, you need not continue any of the steps below.

You may find due to data caching in the client, that you still see Facebook information (such as the People list) hanging around, a quick clean reinstallation of the application should fix that for you.

If you can't see the option to connect/disconnect, then you are logged into a Spotify account created with Facebook not a dedicated Spotify one. " -

I am able to connect and Disconnect. One thing I didn't do was disconnect and then reinstall. I just did that and my old facebook STILL shows up. Don't know whats up

It may take up to 24 hours for the changes to be visable.

You can also try this:

Go to here and login with the Facebook linked to your Spotify> Click Edit next to Spotify > Remove App

Can you please provide the following information:

Spotify Username:

Operating System and Version:

Spotify Client Version:

If your case is resolved, please click the 'Accept as Solution' button and add your kudos!
