My Question or Issue

Did I overwrite my account? Cannot log in.

 

I just signed up for an spotify account. Then redeemed a gift card. Worked fine. I saved my password in password manager. Then I logged out.

 

When I then tried out to log in, it did not work. Ok, I thought, maybe I pasted and copied password wrong or some issue on Spotify side. So I tried to reset it. I was able to enter my email address for password reset and the system told me I receive a pwd reset link via email, but I did not receive a pwd reset email. Not in junk either. Waited a bit, tried this two more times. Got frustrated. Tried out to sign up with the same email, same password. This worked. But now my account is not premium but free. And the redeem code (obviously) does not work a second time.

 

Any idea how to fix this?

Am quite frustrated and wonder what exactly went wrong.

Thanks for reaching out.


Since each email address can only be associated with one Spotify account, it's possible you've, unfortunately, misspelled your email address when creating your first account (that's supposed to have Premium now).

 

You can try following the steps (especially step 3) listed here to locate your account.
