Cannot subscribe with Visa card

I got a message last week that said that Spotify has had trouble charging my Visa, but I've been using it all week everywhere else just fine.  Every time I try and resubscribe on the Spotify site, it says there's an issue with my card, but I called my bank and they say that there are no payment attempts even coming through.  How do I re-add my card so I can have my premium subscription back?

I have the exact same problem trying to sign up for Spotify student. Ugh this is agrravating. I hope they reply to us and fix this ASAP

FWIW, the error is:

• Oops, seems your card or payment provider is having a bad day. Don't worry, no money has been charged. Try again or use another payment method.
