Change country and payment method

Hi,

 

I subscribed to Spotify Premium when I was in UK. I am currently living in Spain and wish to change the payment to a Spanish card.

 

I have followed the instructions from the Help page literally now over 10 times and I don't get anywhere near the outcomes they show.

 

I follow the recommended path shown below. PLEASE NOTE THE INSERTED NOTES in Step 4. I continue at the bottom of the message.

 

Premium users:

Premium users can always access the Spotify service of their billing address country as long as unrestricted internet is available. However, if you still wish to change your service to a different country, follow these steps:

Note: You need a payment method with a billing address in the country.

  1. Go to your sUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENT overview.
  2. Click UPDATE DETAILS
  3. Click Want to use another payment option? below the card details form.
  4. Click Change Country and select the country you wish to move the account to.

HERE i CHOOSE SPAIN. ONCE THAT HAPPENS, I AM AUTOMATICALLY TAKEN TO A PAGE WHERE I AM ONLY GIVEN THE OPTION TO ENTER MY PAYMENT DETAILS TO PAY AND CHOOSE FOR ONE OF SPOTIFY PREMIUM FAMILY OPTIONS!! ALSO LIKE IF I WAS UPGRADING TO PREMIUM WHEN I'M ALREADY PREMIUM. I THEREFORE DON'T GET TO THE FOLLOWING STEPS 5 AND 6 BELOW:

 

5. Select a payment method with a billing address in the country.

6. Confirm the change by clicking CHANGE PAYMENT DETAILS.

 

So how can I go around this, please? I also tried changing first the card details. It leads me to change the country but then I get the same page/problem described in Step 4.

I recommend reaching out to Spotify Support. They can be reached through their Twitter Handle @SpotifyCares, Facebook Page Spotify Cares, or through the online contact form.

If you submit the contact form instead of the Twitter or Facebook Message, make sure to check your inbox and junk folder for an email from Spotify.
