Changing to Spotify username so as to use it instead of Facebook

How do I change to a Spotify username? I signed up using Facebook, but I want to be able to sign in using just a Spotify username. How do i switch/create a Spotify username

Unfortunately, it is not possible to unlink your Spotify account from your Facebook account if the Spotify account has been created through Facebook. You could create a new account and then send a message to Spotify Support so they can move all your stuff over to your new account.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

Unfortunately it is not possible to un-link your Spotify account from your Facebook created account as it will essentially 'break' your Spotify account meaning you'll be unable to us it.

In order to create a new account not linked to Facebook, the account must be deleted first, so your email address is open to create a new account.

It is best to contact help first to help you with migration and migrate playlists and so on.

I have the same problem. I erased my facebook-account permanently, tried to sign up for a new spotify account using my private e-mail-adress, but that has somehow gotten hi-jacked by faceook, and can't be used to create a new spotify account.

For that reason, I can't use spotify now - at all. It sucks immensly - and there is absolutely NO help from spotify. Only a stupid auto-response that isn't helpfull at all, since I allready tried everything, and NOTHING works.

I am so pissed of with face.. sorry, fakebook, but getting evenly pissed off with spotify, since I can't get a decent answer to my questions from a human being, that has actually read, what I wrote to spotify.
