Charged through phone company but not got a Spotify subscription

 I have a Vodafone pay monthly account which started 18 months a go.. When I first opened this subscription I got 6 months free Spotify which I cancelled after the free 6 months were complete. Since then I have been charged £10 extra to my Vodafone bill for a Spotify premium subscription which I do not actually have. This has been ongoing for a year now and every month they have refunded me £10 back onto the next months bill. Every single month the Spotify account has been closed and cancelled but still I am being charged. In October I spoke to someone in the Vodafone team who put a £40 credit to my account for August-November but still I did not receive my money. I have just contacted Vodafone again who are now saying that because my Spotify doesn't appear to be cancelled until October 8th that I am now not entitled to the money as effectively its my word against theirs about the fact I have not actually had a Spotify premium subscription with them. I am so angry as I do not think it's fair that I have to pay out £40 for something I could not have access to or use ! Vodafone have suggested I contact Spotify to get this payment back to me arranged. I want to be contact back as I want this sorted.
