Concerned about losing playlists when I switch to student acct

Hello,

I pay for a premium acct but recently started grad school and want to switch to the student acct to save money. I was told that I needed to close acct and open a new one, but that I wouldn't lose my playlists and songs. I don't understand how I will not lose these. I would rather pay the extra money than lose all my music. Please help!!!

Hey there @smrfett76 and welcome to the community!

That sounds odd. You can switch from a Premium subscription to a Student discount without deleting your account. If you are already a Premium subscriber, you can sign up for the Student Discount from your country's page and the discounted rate will kick in on your next monthly payment date. You can head up in the support site and check out the FAQ article for more information.

Keep in mind that Student Discount is only available in the US, UK and Germany currently.
