Deactivating my Spotify Account

So, I never really use spotify anymore and it's kinda bothersome having to watch over this account that I never use and make sure that it doesn't get hacked or anything like that. (Because hacking is "all the rage" nowadays.) I was searching through the account options and noticed there wasn't a deactivation there. And there wasn't any question related to it in the help section. Why isn't there a deactivation button? If there is, how do I access it and get rid of this cumbersome account. Thank you for your time...

I'm afraid this is something you cant do from your end. Spotify Customer Support will be able to close your account however. 

Just get in touch with them via email by filling out this contact form. Or if you have a Twitter account, you can send your tweets to @SpotifyCares at anytime.
